DEBT PRIVATE PLACEMENTS

 

BondCap recently arranged inflation-linked debt financing for a new Social Housing project with an innovative CPI Linked Amortising bond that gave the borrower affordable finance and the lender, a major UK pension fund, a secured CPI linked return for up to 20 years.

The borrower agreed development finance with an investor on the basis that there was a long-term take-out solution in place.  The pension fund provided the long-term capital that allowed the development funding to be refinanced and re-circulated back into new developments.

 

BondCap can help prepare borrowers for discussions with, and funding by direct lenders of long term fixed rate, RPI or CPI linked finance.

 

An increasing number of UK, US and European non-bank institutions are looking to diversify their assets through loans to corporate borrowers, Housing Associations and infrastructure projects.  The new lenders all have different investment parameters but in aggregate they cover investment grade and high yield opportunities with some able to provide more creative cross-capital-structure funding.
